WHO WE ARE
Lilywind is an online women's clothing store that was founded in Austin, Texas. Each item is thoughtfully and carefully picked by Mikenna. As an online retailer we strive to provide our customers with high quality fabrics + clothing that is both timeless and on trend at the same time. We are so thrilled to offer you with exclusive and unique styles that are boho, chic, and have a little bit of street style to it. We have so many big dreams where Lilywind could go in the future and this would not be possible without your love and support. This story is just the beginning for Lilywind and we are SO grateful YOU are a part of it.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Mikenna is the owner and dreamer behind Lilywind. She is a 23 year old who has been dreaming of having her own clothing store for 11 years. She is obsessed with the color pink (if you couldn't already tell from the photos), she loves anything sweet, and has a huge wanderlust to travel + see the world. She is passionate about serving others and loves to do that through the lens. She first picked up photography when she was 16 years old and hasn't been able to put a camera down since. She Graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2019 with a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandising. With learning all the knowledge that she did through school and her summer internship in New York City she knew that her love and eye for Fashion was a big passion and gift that God has given her to advance His kingdom. She is truly amazed at how great our God is and is so grateful for the journey that led her here.
BEHIND THE NAME
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin." - Matthew 6:25-28
You may have noticed I have this verse all over my store. From someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety this is a verse that I hold so closely to every single day. It's a reminder knowing that our future isn’t in our hands but God’s. realizing this is the most freeing thing. When I was thinking of my store name, this verse kept coming to my mind.
